I have been representing clients accused of crimes since 1972. I was certified by the California State Bar Association as a Criminal Law Specialist in 1983. I am a founding member and past president of the California Deuce Defenders Association, an organization of lawyers devoted to the aggressive defense of persons accused of driving while intoxicated (DUI). I am also a past president of the Criminal Law Section of the Contra Costa County Bar Association.
My office is located in Walnut Creek, but, thanks to my V-Tail Bonanza, I accept cases throughout California. In recent years the focus of my practice has been drunk driving defense. I have clients in almost every county in the state.
My experience includes thousands of DMV hearings and several hundred DUI and DWI Jury trials. I successfully defended the first .08 trial in Solano County Ed Kuwatch, author of California Drunk Driving Law, rates me as one of the best DUI lawyers in northern California.
